Sunday: Well it seems I spent my entire day fixing stuff. I will have to admit I had a massive freakout but I am doing ok now. It wasnt the first and probably wont be the last but I had to get it out of my system to get everything done. I had to repair the dishwasher, the washing machine, the tv and to unclog the toilet. I did manage to convince Columbus to go outside long enough to stick three seeds in the ground. He ran back inside when done ever so quickly.
Monday: I was asked to check on an equipment order today, by a co-worker. Its being held up by red tape. I will see if I cant convince someone in the can do department to get this cleared up. I was promoted to resident today! St Patrick's birthday was today. Its a good thing because I could never get him to do his homework. He was making a D-. I am afraid that even a single day more in school would have dropped it to a failing grade. Now that he is an adult I hope he will start contributing to the house. He did however exhibit a strange new phobia today. Someone broke the tub while I was at work, St Patrick was totally freaked out by it. I mean massive hydrophobic here. I asked him what he wanted to do with his life and he muttered something about being a "jack of all trades" before disappearing into the basement. I was so tired I decided to leave fixing the tv and tub until tmr.
Tuesday: I was on call and got called in for an emergency at one in the morning. By the time I got done with that it was almost time for work. I stopped to get a bite to eat at a local cafe then headed to work. I didnt have time to go to the junkyard but Columbus did and snagged another couch. I fixed the tub and tv. I am actually getting pretty good at this fixing thing. Which is a good thing because in the morning I had to fix the toilet.
Wednesday: I fixed the toilet and ate breakfast. I went to work then after work I tried to track down the problem with the equipment. It was late when I got home. On the plus side Columbus's plants are doing well. Columbus is doing so well in school. It is nice to see him helping his siblings with homework. He helped July 4th with her homework even though she is almost ready to graduate and he has just recently started school.
Thursday I went early to see what the problem with the equipment order is and found out two rival council members had chosen it as their own private battleground. I went to work and reported my findings to by boss. Meanwhile back at home Columbus for some odd reason decided he needed to come home after being at school only an hour to put the laundry in the dryer. Needless to say that did not go over well. I also got a call from the social worker today about Halloween. I called Columbus and asked him to talked to her after school. He spent almost two hours talking to her and I think things are better with her. I asked him to send her to bed early and I would help her with her homework in the morning before school. I decided to stop by the junkyard on the way home and found a wondrous discovery - A BED!!!! It needed cleaning but even so I am grateful.
Friday I was up by 3 to get Halloween her breakfast and to tutor her. Its hard to believe that this child is a genius we worked on her homework until almost noon - making her late to school and me late to work but we got it done. Today was also July 4ths Birthday. She did graduate with a C. She also announced she wanted to become an Astronaut. When did she get to be so dramatic? One of Halloween's friends came over after school and when he left - he forgot his guitar.
SIMMER NOTE: I am giving up this family. The main sim never spins up wants for the "insanity" things like coming inside for "hates outdoors" or washing her hands or checking the stove. All the little wants like these have been missing. It took forever to get her up to the 20,000 and that was mostly from repairing objects around the house or washing dishes. She is getting old and without using life extenders; I do not see that this challenge will be completed before she dies. I am writing this one up as a failure. I will redo it at a later date. For my followers (if any) Thank you for your time and stay tune for more insanity in the future.

Week three
Sunday: I spent most of the day encouraging kids to do homework and fixing stuff around the house. Today was Columbus' birthday. He seems to be developing an interest in plants and asked for a gardening book for his birthday. I am not sure what he is thinking since he hates going outside. Maybe his horizons are opening up and his future may hold some wide open outdoor spaces.

Monday: Halloween's birthday today. Its been a busy weekend. Today an exploding gnome caused an emergency at work and I was asked to work overtime. This caused me to be late getting home, however I was promoted to Intern. Halloween will be starting school tomorrow. She seems to share her brother Thanksgiving's smarts, hopefully this will make things easier for her in school.

Tuesday: With a promotion came a pager. It went off shortly after midnight and I had to get to the hospital. By the time I got home and took a shower I had enough time for breakfast and had to head back to the hospital. Understandably I was dragging. I did manage to catch some sleep in the ready room though. Perhaps it was due to my tired frame of mind but I got in a fight with a co-worker. Molly Coddle. Anyway I think perhaps I should try and apologize and become friends with her.
Wednesday I was on call again and this time the emergency was at 2:30 at this rate I am never going to get anything done. By the time I got home I was so exhausted I went to bed and slept straight through until my bladder drove me from bed about 4 in the morning.
Thursday I finally convinced Molly to talk with me and we actually became friends, as a matter of fact she helped me overcome my fear of the outdoors. I also started the book To Zor or not To Zor and realized just how smart I really am. After work I talked to my therapist for a bit and we decided that with such a major break through I was ready to start helping one of my siblings also break the chains of insanity. I have decided to start with Columbus. His love of plants might lead to him overcoming his fear of the outdoors. Besides he went from a B+ student to a D when he entered his teen years. And what is with the flower in his hair? He really needs help. I had a long talk with Columbus and he started taking an interest in his homework. He actually got Thanksgiving to do his too.

Friday again was just another busy workday.
Saturday I managed to get Halloween cornered and sat her down to help her with her homework. I spent most of the day harassing the other kids into doing their homework. I am afraid St Patrick hates school. He is still making a D and refuses to do his homework but at least he attends school. It wont be long before he becomes an adult. I suppose he wont want to get a job like Valentine and Easter. At least Valentine has taken an interest in painting and is actually getting good at it.

Simmers Note: Christmas does not seem to get any wants related to her phobias (like go inside if she is outside etc) so it has been extremely hard to get enough points to get the mid-life crisis. I am hoping the change in personality traits might generate more wants.

Week two
Sunday was all in all unremarkable. I could not get St Patrick to do his homework at all. July 4th got her partially done which is good because she is already getting a D. The other two got their done. I did manage to work a bit with Halloween on her toddler skills. I finished the laundry and did a bit of cleaning. I ended up going to bed early which led me to waking up at two in the morning, really too early to get ready for work.

Monday. Since I was up so early I did a bit more housework then got the teens up early to do the homework they did not finish over the weekend. They were not done when the bus got there but promised to go as soon as they got it done. I went ahead to work trusting they would do as they said. The boss Nick Nack was pleased with the report I gave him on the book he assigned me to read. We talked for a while and I think we even became friends.
Tuesday the boss asked me to talk to a co-worker about an escalating problem before it got out of hand. I have no idea why he ashed this of me but I agreed to do this. I guess this made him so happy he gave me a promotion to Paramedic. Fortunately I managed to catch her just outside of the hospital. She complained to me about Juan hogging all the lab time. I will talk to him about that. The talk with my co-worker took so long it was dark by the time I got to the junkyard. They were getting ready to close but I managed to grab a couch.

Wednesday dawned way too early. I managed to grab a nap in the ready room but spent most of my day doing paperwork for the boss, by the time I left I was fairly exhausted and while I tried to catch up to Juan he left too fast for me. I ended up passing out just as I got home from work.

Thursday was a bit better. Grabbed a dishwasher from the junkyard then went to talk to Juan. It was a good thing I went to the junk yard first, as there was a medical emergency at the spa where I was meeting Juan. I took care of the gentleman. It made me feel better about the whole day. I am not sure exactly how it happened but I found myself agreeing to throw a party and inviting Juan to it. Maybe I should plan a birthday party for Thanksgiving - his birthday is soon.

Friday was pretty much just another day.
Saturday we had a birthday for Thanksgiving. The cake caught the counter on fire. Overall the party was a disaster, Juan seemed to have fun though and agreed to iron out his differences. (Simmers note - Choosing a trait was not allowed, he was given Genius)

Week one
Wow this week has been a disaster.
Monday I told all the kids to go to school before leaving for my first day at work. It took Columbus until 2 o'clock to even leave for school. After I got home, I couldn't get anyone but Thanksgiving to do his homework. I did however have a break through with Halloween and she is now talking. I had horrible news at work today. I found out that I now have a garnishment on my wages. They are going to take 75% of my wages to pay Pawpaw's debts. I really don't think it is quite fair but they said that doing so would keep the IRS from taking the house.
Tuesday: Today I heard that the dump has a free salvage day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I had to force myself overcome my aversion to being outside to go down and get anything. I got an old chair that we set in the basement for now. I think perhaps that is the first thing I need to overcome is my aversion to being outdoors. I am doing good to go to and from work without adding extra trips outside to my regime. I tried encouraging the kids to do their homework again. I think Columbus actually got his completed. I dont even think July 4th started hers.

Wednesday dawned early with a warning from the bills collectors that the bills were due. $191. We only have $153. I was very worried as I did not think after garnishments that I would have enough left to pay the bills but I got a $3 raise. I was thrilled about that but it ended up after garnishment I was still shy $1 of what I needed to pay the bills. I stayed up all night worrying about what to do.
Thursday I went to work the next morning only to have the repo man show up while I was gone. He took our couch and an old lamp we had on the dresser downstairs. Then to top it off he took the trash can out of our kitchen. The boss gave me a book to read called "a Gift of Life." I also got a promotion to Bed Pan Cleaner. I found out that they take the garnishment out of my bonuses too. I decided to try and cheer the family up by grabbing something from the dump but it was late by the time I got off and the only thing they had was a toybox. On a bright note Columbus actually did his homework without being reminded or asked too. He is making a B right now in school.

Friday was pretty unremarkable until just after 11:00 We set the kitchen on fire. And that just started the string of disasters that haunted the weekend. Insurance only paid a mere 169 - not enough to replace the stove. Heck it wasnt even enough to replace the counter beside the stove that caught fire too. I guess we will be eating cold cereal for a while. After the stove incident the sink broke. I repaired it only to come upstairs to find my hot headed brother in a tizzy over the toilet which is clogged again. I had to lay down for a nap before I tackled that as I had been up all night between the fire and the sink. When I woke up I found out someone had broken the tub as well. Water was spraying everywhere. It was just a good thing I did not have to go to work.

Saturday I spent all day fixing things and cleaning up. I did three loads of laundry as well as fix the sink, toilet, tub and TV which broke in the middle of the day.

My siblings

From left to right; St Patrick, Halloween, me (Christmas), Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine, Columbus, July 4th
Valentine is the Artistic on of the group. He is the eldest boy. If he is not painting he tends to spend most of his time on the Couch, lazing about. It is very hard to get him motivated to do anything. His Hot Headed temper tantrums are something else we will need to work on.
Easter has just recently turned into an adult. She is following in her older brother's steps or rather Couch indentations. They are often found on the couch watching TV and arguing over whatever they are watching. Easter is a bit Excitable but in the end she always ends up Schmoozing up to Valentine.
St Patrick is still a teenager so he has to attend high school. He has an odd obsession with Books but my therapist says that is all right and not to worry about it. He is also a Heavy Sleeper, but the therapist says that too is ok.
July 4th also attends high school. She is impressed with the teachers there and the school and just about everything. But then again she is Easily Impressed. She has already gotten in trouble at school for being Inappropriate.
Thanksgiving is the only one in the family who has black hair like Mawmaw did. He is a bit neurotic.
Columbus is a coward. This led to him being very late for school the first day; Not showing up until almost time to go home.
Halloween is the youngest, just barely a toddler. She is actually Easter's child, but I don't think most of the kids in the family understand that so she is just a sister to the rest of us. Halloween is really too young to have developed all the idiosyncrasies of the rest of the family. She is just as insane as the rest of us and there is not doubt as to her hatred of the outdoors so those are things we will have to work on.

Introduction & my parents.
Hello my name is Christmas. Yeah truly that is my name. My father was recently killed and my mother ran off so I had to get a job to provide food for the family. I did not realize until recently just how screwed up the family really was. I am in court ordered therapy. As long as I continue to go to therapy and to improve myself I will be allowed to keep my family together. I also have to make sure all the kiddos go to school. None of us ever went to school before.
Well I guess I better introduce you to my family.
This is PawPaw, Well his real name was JoeBob Bobbitt but we all called him Pawpaw.

Pawpaw was a very unlucky person and he never failed to let us know in the most Dramatic ways just how Unlucky he was. I found out later that he was Mooching food and money in town and that is what fed us. He Hated going Outside and so he seldom left the property. As a matter of fact that is one trait that all of the family has in common. Well that and Insanity.
Pawpaw was the only one of us that ever left the property. He only left if he had to go get food but he never came home empty handed. One day the feds came to tell me of Pawpaw's death. He had been hit by a train. Since Pawpaw never came home with the food we soon ran out. MawMaw ventured out to get some but she never returned. I found out later that MawMaw always believed that Pawpaw would achieve his dream of Swimming in Cash. She was nothing more than a Gold Digger. They were originally drawn together because of the shared Hatred of the Outdoors and of course their Insanity. MawMaw temporarily overcame her Snobbishness and Commitment Issues and married Pawpaw. I don't really think she was ever happy here. She slept alot. Fortunately she was a Heavy Sleeper and us kids seldom woke her with our antics.

Since Mawmaw never returned, this forced me to go looking. I was arrested for something or another that I never figured out, but the fed guys and a "social worker" made sure we had a fridge full of food and gave me a list of rules we had to follow.
One of the rules I had to follow was to get a job. I got one as a organ donor. After my first therapy session I realized just how messed up everyone in the family is so I have set it as my goal to fix them. I am going to become a World Class Surgeon.
Simmers notes:
Christmas is the only playable sim at this point. She is starting as an adult. While the setup is based on the Asylum Challenge it is different in many ways.
Start with 5 bed spots, 6 seating (only one napping spot), 5 skill builders (mirror, bookcase, weight set, easel, pond), stove, fridge, sink, toilet, and tub. Other items can be gained by going to the junkyard. The junkyard is only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays there is a limit of one item per person. The repairman can only be called once every other week.
Christmas's goal is to "gain her sanity" Besides the family traits of Hating the Outdoors, and Insanity she also has to working on her Over Emotional tendencies, her Drama Queen tendencies, and of course her Neurotic tendencies. This is done by having a "mid-life crisis" She can only change one trait for each "crisis" She may not purchase any other life time awards until all 5 "undesirable" traits have been "cured."
No other sim is playable to begin with. One other sim will become playable after each undesirable trait is cured. After Christmas fulfills her lifetime wish one other sim will become playable. As each sim becomes playable they too must rid themselves of their undesirable traits as Christmas guides them on the road to sanity. The final sim will become playable after Christmas has helped at least one other sim make their way to their lifetime goal.
Sims may only move out after their lifetime wish has been completed.
Any time a child gains a trait upon growing up you can choose the trait if allowed.
The game is over if the social worker takes any of the children, if any sim dies before being cured, if Christmas dies before all of her siblings are cured, or when all are cured.
Free will set on high; life span on long. No vacations.
Controllable sims may only leave the lot to work until the "hates the outdoors" trait is cured.
